A lifetime commitment to service.
I have always served. In the Air Force, I was a chaplain. This work taught me how to listen to others so I could help them face challenging life issues. It was a position that also required compassion and caring. I have used these skills in my business and volunteer activities and at home as a wife and mother.
Service is in my blood. My grandmother, who I adored, served as a nurse in the Army during World War II. After marrying my grandfather, who was also in the Army, they raised their family all over the world.
My husband is a retired Army Special Forces Colonel. We lived around the world as his job required, but chose Park City in 2009 as our forever home. We love it here.
My family and friends in the military have had a huge influence on me. We have an inspiring mantra: When there is important work to do, we step up to get it done.
I have served the local community in a variety of volunteer roles: as the current Post Commander American Legion Post 14 and member of the Park City Rotary, as a DJ on KPCW, as the former chair of the Summit County Democratic Party, as a former board member of the League of Women Voters, and as a volunteer with Voterise.
Nationally, I have served as a board member for the spouse advisory council for the Military Officers Association of America.
I will bring the skill, leadership, experience, and values I have developed in my decades of experience serving diverse communities and organizations to the Park City School Board.
Great schools make great communities.
I hope you’ll vote for me for District 4 Board of Education representative.
